Environmental Sanitation Campaign
The South Kordofan Media Network for Community Awareness carried out its third community initiative in Al-Simma West, Kadugli, which included an environmental sanitation campaign, chlorine distribution to households, and public health education. Local leaders and residents actively participated, demonstrating strong community support and collaboration with civil society efforts. The network emphasized the importance of hygiene practices—especially handwashing with soap—as a key line of defense against disease.
The initiative concluded with a health awareness session on disease prevention, symptoms, and proper sanitation practices, including demonstrations on safely washing fruits and vegetables. These efforts aim to reduce the spread of cholera and promote long-term community health.
